adidas x Gucci collection - release on June 7th

A while back, Gucci and adidas caused a stir in the fashion world. To be precise at the Milan Fashion Week this year. The two brands presented a complete collection together. Finally, the adidas x Gucci collection is set to be available on June 7th in select Gucci stores, dedicated pop-up stores, CONFIRMED and gucci.com. The collection by Alessandro Michele, Creative Director of Gucci, is a reinterpretation of classic sportswear with college influences and classic retro colours. Inspired mainly by the 80s and 90s. Classic motifs from Gucci are combined with the three stripes and the trefoil from adidas, creating a new collection with hybrid looks.

WHATS IN THE ADIDAS GUCCI COLLECTION?

Did you know that Alessandro Michele is an avid collector of adidas Gazelle? We're not, but of course we're no longer surprised either. The iconic adidas tracksuit forms the basis of the collection together with the Gazelle and has been reconstructed and provided with the newly designed emblems of both brands. There are also lots of other clothes, accessories — bags, hats, jewelry, etc. — and a few other shoe models: clogs, pumps, loafers and slides. There is something for everyone who can and wants to afford it. Unfortunately, the pricing—as expected—is set at the maximum. You can get the Gazelle for 650 Euro. THE GUCCI GAZELLE ARE OUR FAVORITES

Let's take a closer look at the Gazelle, because they're obviously our favorite of the collection. Some of you probably remember the first pictures of the shoes. "Back then" other colors and patterns were circulating. We found them even cooler overall. But unfortunately that seems to have been "runway only". Check them out here:

But the new colourways are also very good. The author of this article is already saving, while the rest of the team is less enthusiastic. The materials used on the shoes are all made from animal-free raw materials, which should primarily come from sustainable and bio-based sources. Everything is Made in Italy, at least that's what it says on the insole.

The material ranges from velvet, to satin, to Gucci canvas and suede. The colors are retro and super nice. On the outsole we find a co-branding, on the heel too. We love the Gazelle. Our favorite colourway is the pink one. What surprises us is that we can't find any individual product images of the yellow Gazelle on gucci.com or at CONFIRMED , so we can only guess whether it's coming or not. All in all, a really good job from Alessandro Michele. There are five colourways for women and six for men, plus the yellow colourway. Let's see in which sizing the shoes all come. The adidas x Gucci collection hits select Gucci stores, dedicated pop-up stores, CONFIRMED and gucci.com on June 7th.
