Crocs

When the shoes first hit the market, there was nothing in between - you either loved them or you hated them. The once clunky foam kicks with the crocodile logo, which were only ever seen in gardens or doctors' surgeries, have undergone a major image change. So much so that Salehe Bembury has also jumped on the bandwagon and unpacked his designer toolbox. And since there have been cool collabs on the shoe, they've been hyped like never before. We've checked out what's behind these ultra-comfortable shoes and what's happened in recent years.

The most popular Crocs

After word got around about how comfortable the shoes were, Crocs production quickly expanded to different countries to satisfy the hunger for Crocs. The Classic Clog is still the most hyped because it is a real all-rounder - as a comfortable work shoe in the office, as an easy-care shoe for gardening or as a Crocs slipper. For those who like it a little more eye-catching, the Echo models or the Silhouette Mega Crush Clog offer an alternative. These Crocs with a platform-style heel are not just something for the home, but are also absolutely street-ready in the trendy colorways. And of course, the Crocs for children are particularly popular because they are non-slip and easy to clean. In terms of fit, we recommend going down half a size. As Crocs are also suitable for wide feet, you won't slip back and forth.

However, what has triggered the hype for Crocs among sneakerheads has definitely been the great collabs! The big hit with Salehe Bembury in particular convinced even the last of the sneakers and there is probably no shoe cabinet without Crocs. But fashionistas have also gotten their money's worth - for example with the collabo by Christian Cowan, Post Malone or Ruby Rose. And nobody does kids' collabs as well as Crocs! Whether it's the Cars version or the sold-out silhouette with Justin Bieber - the styles are always very special!

Where does the hype come from?

The absolute USP of Crocs is their unique Croslite foam resin. The material not only prevents streaks, it also has an antibacterial effect. This means they don't spread the typical stink of worn shoes and don't give bacteria and fungi a chance. And even after a dip in the mud, soap and water are enough to make them look like new again.

Of course, Crocs can do even more in terms of technology than hygiene: in addition to its hygienic properties, the Croslite granules also provide maximum cushioning and durability in UV radiation. Comfort is ensured by the ultra-light weight and the ergonomically shaped, non-slip footbed. Not to mention the fresh colorways and the very special style of the shoes, which really have something to offer for every taste.

As you can see, there is much more to Crocs than brightly colored and clunky kicks for mom. And although they are simply bombastically comfortable as slippers, the trendy collabos have probably convinced even the last skeptic that Crocs are simply super stylish and definitely belong on the street!
