In recent years, Puma has made more and more spectacular moves. Moves that have been so significant that they have brought the brand significantly forward and ensured that sneakers such as the Puma Platform or Creeper were bought in large numbers. The history of Puma goes back a long way. The sporting goods manufacturer was founded by Rudolf Dassler, brother of Adolf Dassler. The siblings started a shoe factory together in the 1930s, which later became adidas. When the two fell out, Rudolf left the joint venture and started Puma in 1948. The company name not only stands for the predator, but was derived from the nickname Rudi was given due to his curly hairstyle.

Puma and the celebrities

Like Kanye West and YEEZY for adidas, Rihanna and Fenty were for Puma. The brand from Herzogenaurach placed so much trust in the superstar that she became creative director and ambassador for her very own line and it proved to be a success. Fans of the singer have stood shoulder to shoulder for hours in front of stores to buy one of the Puma Fenty Creeper and possibly even resell it for a profit.
