WHAT IS FEAR OF GOD?

For those who don't know: Fear of God is an independent high fashion label that was founded in Los Angeles in 2013 by Jerry Lorenzo. FOG designs timeless and, above all, really wearable apparel and has become, without question, a symbol of contemporary culture in the USA. The designs pay homage to contemporary culture with quality materials and fine craftsmanship.

WHO IS BEHIND THE BRAND?

Jerry Lorenzo. The American designer has been dressing artists like Justin Bieber since 2013. Among other things, Lorenzo designed five individual looks for him, which he wore on stage during his Purpose World Tour. He also made the tour merch. Incidentally, Jerry Lorenzo founded FOG without any fashion training and was previously unknown in the streetwear bubble.

WHAT EXACTLY IS FEAR OF GOD ESSENTIALS NOW?

Five years after Fear of God was founded, Lorenzo founded Fear of God "ESSENTIALS". The experts call it a "competitively priced sister label". In short: With the brand, Lorenzo gives many people the chance to wear his designs with less money in their wallets. However, Essential was also worn by some VIP's, among others: Kanye West, Hailey & Justin Bieber, Gigi Hadid, Selena Gomez, Virgil Abloh. That's why the hype surrounding the Essentials line is huge and that doesn't make it easy to get hold of the designs.

WHERE CAN I BUY THE PARTS?

Since almost every item in FOG Essentials sells out super fast, it's always a good idea to keep an eye out for new pieces coming out. The collection usually releases via MR PORTER or SSENSE. Since it is not so easy to order there, it is easier to buy your favorite pieces from StockX, at least in Germany. The pieces are of course a little more expensive. We did some research and picked out the top 10 essential parts. The resell prices are really okay.
