New Balance 1906 Protection Pack - the series is growing

Starting with the 2002R, the shoes with a used look quickly gained a status as favorites among New Balance fans. The creator from whose pen the design flowed is Yue Wu. The Chinese-born artist ended up in the United States for his master's degree at the Pensole Footwear Design Academy. However, his love for the Boston brand goes back much further than his time at New Balance. He was especially taken with the 574 and 580.

He found the inspiration for the sneaker in his own youth, because the designer preferred nothing more than untouched and clean sneakers. This almost went so far that he hardly wanted to take the shoes out of the box in order not to spoil the pristine condition. Like its predecessors, the New Balance 1906 Protection Pack also appears in four different colourways. Similar to the 2002R, you can choose between a beige, black and gray shoe. The trio is expanded by a reflection version.

The design of the New Balance 1906 Protection Pack follows the original scheme and does not contain any groundbreaking innovations - exactly what we wanted. Rather, it's the small details and the silhouette itself that make the look. The upper of the New Balance 1906DB Beige Protection Pack is kept in the same shade. The classic material change from suede and mesh elements thus takes a back seat, but without being overlooked. The interior and the sole are designed in rich black and stand in stark contrast to the rest of the design. The New Balance 1906DD Black Protection Pack is the perfect opponent for the light colourway. The black upper is lightened up with small, dark gray accents and finally rounded off with a vintage-look sole.

The New Balance 1906DA Castlerock Protection Pack has the biggest color changes of the range. The change of material is particularly emphasized by different shades of gray. The off-white sole further emphasizes the distressed look. The New Balance 1906DC Reflection Protection Pack completes the series as the youngest member. This color variant is also wrapped in a light beige and stands out above all due to the black reinforcement in the heel area.
