Nike always dedicates its own designs to the Chinese calendar. In 2024, the year is the year of the dragon; last year it was the year of the rabbit. The Air Force 1 comes in Sail, Vapor Green, White, University Red and Bright Crimson and features a Sail leather upper for breathability and perforations on the toebox, mesh tongues and inner lining. The real eye-catchers, however, are the reptile skin Swooshes and heel tabs that add an extra layer of celebration to the Year of the Dragon. Notable elements include a dragon-inspired charm on the laces and Chinese patterns on the tongue tags, which seamlessly combine with Nike's "Just Do It" branding to emphasize the sneaker's cheerful spirit. The design is topped off with a white midsole that sits atop a Sail outsole.
