adidas EQT event at Art Basel in Miami

If you follow me on Instagram and Snapchat, you'll have noticed that I've been hanging out in beautiful Miami for a few days now. For me personally, I left early on Monday morning to catch the flight to the States with Markus, my contact at adidas, and over the last few days I've received lots of questions from you about what brought me here in the first place. So far, I've kept a pretty low profile because the "official event" only started last night and I just didn't want to give too much away yet.adidas Originals will present the new adidas EQT 93/17 at Art Basel, one of the world's most prestigious art fairs, which will officially be released in spring. To celebrate the new release, a public seeding was organized last night, where around 1,000 pairs (!!!) of the limited edition adidas EQT 93/16 "Art Basel" were given away on the streets of Miami. Today, things continue at full throttle: Pusha-T interview, 90s video installation and, last but not least, a concert with the American artist, who is also presenting his third collaboration with the Herzogenaurach-based company. It's about to go down...I simply can't and won't say it any other way. :D

The exciting thing about the adidas EQT 93/17 is the new colorway called "Turbo Red", which is intended to give the new silhouette even more dynamism. But that's not the only innovation happening to the 93/17, of course, because as far as I've seen correctly, the new 93/17 will still feature the popular Boost sole.

In my opinion, the new adidas EQT 93/17 could be the next big thing from adidas. The 93/16 already had a huge fanbase this year, partly due to the wedge shape of the sneaker. And now you're imagining this shoe with a Boost sole....need I say more? I don't. Many of you have asked me if I would be willing to bring a pair of the adidas EQT 93/16 "Art Basel". Unfortunately, I have to disappoint you, because the shoe was never officially sold. I'm really sorry about that, because I'd love to bring each and every one of you a pair. But unfortunately I can't.
