adidas OZMILLEN - Latest Pick-Up

The OZWEEGO AS A MODEL FOR THE OZMILLEN

The Ozweego was launched in 1996 and is at the top of adidas's list, when it comes to reissues from the archive. Since the first release, adidas has brought out many different versions of the silhouette. The shoe was launched as a runner with adiPrene cushioning. Over time, the style of the shoe was updated again and again, but the technology remained the same. Between 1997 and 1998, the Ozweego 2 was launched, which retained the adiPrene technology but came with a slightly updated upper. This was followed by the Ozweego 3, which was launched between 1998 and 1999. This updated style came with the addition of Torsion in the midsole. Between 1999 and 2000, the Ozweego 4 was introduced, which combined the best of all previous models.

The design that brought the silhouette to 2015 Fashion Week was that of Raf Simons, who reinterpreted the Ozweego. Raf Simons' Ozweegos were the creators of the trend for chunky shoes, voluminous sneakers, oversized soles and overlapping overlays. adidas simply has a knack for rummaging through the archives and reviving the models. However, we rarely see 1:1 retros, as the old adidas performance logo has now given way to the Trefoil. Some people criticize this, but we don't think it's quite so bad, especially with new editions like the Ozmillen.

This new version of the Ozweego clearly looks to the future. The metallic-look overlays give the shoe a dynamic look. The flexible mesh upper ensures a super-comfortable ride. Adiplus cushioning is built into the sole. The white upper of the Clear Mint is complemented by mint-colored three stripes and silver overlays. @christopher wears black Stüssy trousers and a basic T-shirt with the Alpha Industries x KeineMusik bomber jacket.
