ASICS Gel Lyte OG - first look

Since last weekend, the first pictures of the Gel Lyte OG retro have appeared on asphaltgold, and I have to admit that ASICS has really managed to come up with some really good models and retros lately. Even if the shape of the Gel Diablo doesn't fit 100% in my eyes, the return of this silhouette was definitely a step in the right direction again.With the two OG colorways of the Gel Lyte, ASICS is bringing two pretty simple, but still very good old-school runners back onto the market. I've been looking for the two OG models for a really long time and never found what I was looking for, so I'm somehow particularly pleased about their return.

In this case, I think it's right that ASICS is reflecting on its own past and bringing successful models back to life. And ASICS really has a lot of them! My favorite of the two models? Clearly the black and white colorway! Both OG colorways of the Gel Lyte OG will be available from July 7th at asphaltgold and some other retailers.
