Kicks In The Hall Dortmund 2016 - Recap

I don't know how many times Kicks In The Hall has taken place so far. I haven't been there since the beginning, but I think I've attended all of the last 4-5 trade fairs. The KITH made its first stop in Dortmund last Saturday. Previously, the trade fair was always held in the tranquil town of Bielefeld, which was always a cool story in itself. Unfortunately, the crowds in Bielefeld have become so big in recent years that a move was probably unavoidable. So why not simply move the whole event to another city and see if it could be successful there too? There was more space than in the Bielefeld studio, so that the visitors could spread out much better than in previous years. The outdoor area was perfect for the weather and the bar staff were also able to cope with the crowds. Only the currywurst with chips was annoyingly too long in coming. There were a lot of people there who were great to talk to, but unfortunately this also meant that the visitors' desire to buy was extremely low. It seemed to me that people would rather chill out in the sun than look for shoes in the hall. I can really understand that, because I've been outside often enough. But it was a bit of a shame for the exhibitors. Unfortunately, there were also some rather poorly lit corners in the hall where the respective stand owners were actually standing in the dark. This is annoying, but difficult to avoid in advance. But I personally had a really pleasant day, on which I didn't sell much, but met some old acquaintances and laughed a lot (I was a passenger! :D ). We'll see if we go back to Bielefeld next time, or if we stay in the Pott. Here are a few unedited pictures from the fair. Credits go to Jan Fabricius, because I forgot my camera at home again.
