Nike Adapt BB - detailed look
You should have noticed by now that a new colorway of the Nike Adapt BB was released in the Nike online shop last week, so after we skipped the black colorway back then, it was time for us to take a closer look at this release and give our opinion on it. Logically, because that's our job and expected of us when it comes to new technology, the Nike Adapt BB is the first so-called "intelligent shoe" from Nike that has been developed solely for performance on the pitch. Yep, you heard that right: the Adapt BB is actually a pure basketball shoe and doesn't really belong in the typical "lifestyle corner" we normally hang out in. But let's be honest - do we care? No, not really. After all, the competition once had a great product called Boost, which we also used for "our purposes" at some point.

The special thing about the Nike Adapt BB is that the fit can be individually adjusted to the wearer (=player). With the accompanying Nike Adapt app, you can set and save your data and personalize the light elements on the side. The real highlight, the Power Laces, give you the absolute MartyMcFly vibe and allow you to have your own personal "back to the future"! Personally, I think the Nike Adapt BB is really strong, but I have to admit that the technology could still be improved in places. For me, the motor of the power laces is still a little too loud and therefore takes some getting used to, but otherwise I think the Nike Adapt BB is a real success. Despite the rather high RRP of around 350 euros. A little tip: The shoe runs small, so go up half a size!
Here are some other key features of the Nike Adapt BB:
Power Laces provide a secure hold at the touch of a button.
The Cushlon foam midsole provides soft yet responsive cushioning.
The Quad Axial inner material adapts to your foot to ensure a consistent, individual fit.
The overlay with Flyknit construction combines breathable and flexible areas.
The padded tongue and flexible collar make it easy to put on.
The external heel insert secures your foot.
The wrapped lace motor additionally stabilizes your midfoot.
The scope of delivery includes a wireless charging mat with which you can charge the shoes.
