For the 40th anniversary of our favorite icon, the Air Force 1, there have already been some good designs and collaborations on the shoe. Now Slam Jam has also taken on the silhouette to continue celebrating the anniversary. The Nike Air Force 1 x Slam Jam comes in two colourways. The release date is still unknown. For everyone who is not familiar with Slam Jam: Luca Benini founded the shop in Milan in 1989. But Slam Jam is not just any shop. The selection of brands is top, both in the clothing area and in the sneakers. Over the last decade they've teamed up with quite a few brangs including Vans, New Balance, Salomon and of course Nike. And have already served us some nice designs. Following their Dunk High collaboration in 2020, Benini and his team are once again joining the Swoosh, this time in honor of the icon and its 40th anniversary.

THIS IS WHAT THE SNEAKERS LOOK LIKE

Similar to the previous Nike collab, Slam Jam's take on the Air Force 1 is a chop and screw of sorts. Which means something like reconstruction. The AF1 will come in two colors, white and black. The middle element of the upper is replaced by mesh. The perforated toe box has been rearranged and features the Slam Jam logo. There are two laces each, the classic and thin round, which are intricately threaded over the normal ones. There are also extra eyelets for this. The Nike logo on the heel is reversed on suede. Slam Jam x Nike branding is on the tongue. The insole comes allover print. Very good design, we would also like to have one.

There is no exact release date for the two Nike Air Force 1 x Slam Jams yet. But we assume that the designs will come this year. And then certainly at slamjam.com and in the SNKRS app. Just follow our release calendar , the blog or our free app . We keep our fingers crossed for you, it will be difficult to get the Slam Jam Air Force.
