Nike Air Jordan 1 Mid Customization Event by SNIPES - Photo Recap

Surely some of you have noticed that we attended the Nike Air Jordan 1 Mid Customization Event at the SNIPES Shop at Alexanderplatz in Berlin last Saturday, which was the second SNIPES Customization Event I've attended in the last few months. The difference to the Air Force 1 event, however, was that this time, apart from a few "wildcard winners", only invited guests were on site to implement their ideas on the Jordan 1 Mid.A total of four customizers - namely my esteemed friend Tornschuhjette, Lars Trucks, tattoo artist Sebastian Hook and René Turrek - were on hand at Germany's biggest sneaker retailer and were naturally keen to help the few guests of the evening with their daring projects. I chose the red and white Jordan 1 Mid for my custom because I no longer associate any other colorway with the Jordan Brand. So after I'd done my rounds and had enough pictures for my recap in the can, I got started... Admittedly, I'm always a bit uncreative when it comes to customizing stories. I'm bad at painting and I don't think I have enough patience to spend hours with a needle and thread on my custom. For this reason, I always choose the "distressed & destroyed" look for my projects, which is relatively easy to achieve. I really like this look and was already really happy with my Air Force 1, so it was an easy decision to make. Unfortunately, I was only able to finish the right shoe on Saturday. So I still have a bit of work to do! Of course, we have collected a few more impressions from the evening.
