Puma R698 & "Sahara" - latest pickup

Last week, after a long time, something from Puma finally snuck into my house again: the Puma R698 "Sahara" is part of the Wilderness Pack, which includes a total of four different models. The original release was in July at size?, before the "Wilderness Pack" started its journey to Germany. For me personally, it's already the second R698, whereby my first model belongs to the normal GRs. Apart from the silhouette, of course, the two models cannot be compared in any way. The material combination of the "Sahara" alone, with a great mix of smooth leather and suede, is really something. Plus a beautiful leather lining in a bright shade of blue, the perforated toebox and bold Trinomic branding on the heel. I think that's as good as it gets...and that's how a decent collabo should be! I particularly like the aforementioned suede in the beautiful...yes, I'll call it "camel brown". The color is really good and is an absolute hit, especially for the coming fall season. However, the two types of leather are very different in comparison. The camel brown leather is very rough and firm, while the light-colored leather on the toebox is as soft as butter. I don't think I need to mention the color-coordinated shades again, it just fits. To be honest, I have to admit that I wasn't really convinced by the Puma R698 "Sahara" at first. I always liked the shoe itself, but the colorway gave me a bit of a headache. Now, after the first photos and the shoe on my foot, my opinion has changed. The R698 "Sahara" is a good shoe that will definitely keep me dry and warm in the coming fall months.
