Stüssy x Dior Fall 2020 Men Collection - Teaser

After a collaboration between Dior and Jordan Brand was recently the talk of the town, the high-end fashion brand has now come up with a collaboration that no one was expecting. We're talking about a joint Pre Fall 2020 collection with the streetwear label Stüssy.

On the occasion of the collaboration, the Artistic Director of Dior Men, Kim Jones, managed to bring the founder of Stüssy out of well-deserved early retirement. A real milestone, considering that Shawn Stussy will be back at the start with a major project for the first time since 1996. Stussy himself commented on the joint collaboration and his return to the fashion business as follows:

"It's been interesting for me to see the full circle and to watch the last 20 years as an outsider. I've said 'no' to a lot of things, and I was just waiting for the right one, and this just feels really good in that respect. I almost feel like I'm handing the wand off to the young crowd, Kim being the team captain, and he's a lover of the game, he's knowledgeable, he's a student of our culture. I just really get the right feel."

These words should go down like oil to Kim Jones, considering that he himself was a big Stüssy fan in his youth and still has a small archive of his original pieces from back then.

When there is so much passion for a collaboration, we have to admit that we can hardly wait for the first look of the range. Not many details are actually known yet. However, we can already assume that we're not talking about a collection with a few $50 shirts. We are currently talking about bead embroidery, which took 2600 hours to complete, and Japanese marble prints. Of course, the typical Stüssy fonts should not be missing either.
