Supreme x Comme des Garçons Summer 2017
As we know, Supreme only works with selected labels that are intended to underline the individuality of its own products.
This year, the choice has once again fallen on Comme des Garçons.
But who or what is Comme des Garçons?
Founded in 1973 by Japanese stylist Rei Kawakubo, the label initially produced women's fashion, contrary to its name (Comme des Garçons - just like boys), and only later added a men's collection. Today, the label is worth millions and has developed from a niche brand into an international fashion label. Anyone wondering why a Japanese label has a French name: it is simply "kindai" to use French words for anything in Japan.
But let's get back to the collection:
The interplay between the two parties makes the new summer collection a mix of extravagance and absolute nonchalance. The reversible suit is an absolute favorite for me, which can also be worn variably in the office without being too extreme. Consisting of hoodies, shirts, shirts, parkas and bags, this collection proves once again that the mix of unusual (Comme des Garçons) and street style (Supreme) works extremely well together.
As if the collection wasn't already too much of a good thing, a special treat has also been thought of for the speaker collectors. The eyeball motif, which runs through the entire collection, as well as the dual logo have been immortalized on the Nike Air Force 1 Low and should also cause absolute excitement. The box logo shirts and hoodies are also sure to be in high demand and will sell out within minutes.
The collection will be available from April 13 in all Supreme stores, as well as online.
Those who want the shoes will unfortunately have to be patient, as they will not arrive until May.
