This is what the Nike Air Force 1 Starfish looks like

We have good news for everyone who is looking for a special Air Force 1 but doesn't want a platform sole or doesn't think the deconstructive design is that great. Nike has once again let creativity run free and serves us the Air Force 1 Starfish. A classic with a retro-inspired makeover. We took a closer look at the new model.

There are now countless variants of the Nike Air Force 1, but we're particularly looking forward to the Starfish because it doesn't have a lot of frills. The upper is classic white leather as we know and love it. The sole and the laces come in off-white. The Nike Air Tag is not completely white this time, but is black. On the toebox there is a really mini swoosh with the writing "Tip of swoosh should align level". There is a small dot on the ankle area that we know as a registration or pressure mark. Graphic designers surely know what we are talking about. The two details suggest that the shoe should represent a prototype. The inlay is turquoise, the heel bright orange. Here we also find a trademark print. The cherry on the cake is a small, embroidered Swoosh on top of the large, classic Swoosh.

Overall a nice makeover, we think. The Nike Air Force 1 Starfish is perfect for anyone who wants more than just all-white but isn't a fan of the reinterpretations of the AF1.

Unfortunately, there is no official release date yet. However, we assume that it won't take that long. The Starfish will probably cost 90 euros and will hit virtual shelves at both Nike and selected retailers. But we leave the final information to the release calendar colleagues.
