Spring is certainly one of the most exciting seasons of the year and as soon as the sun rises on the horizon, people are drawn outside. Everyone? Not quite, if the crew at the UBIQ store in Philadelphia is to be believed. While nature presents its full splendour of flowers in an orgy of colour in the sunlight, with new buds sprouting up everywhere, turning every walk into a new journey of discovery, the night owls at UBIQ prefer the early hours of the night for their rendezvous with Mother Nature, only revealing the full beauty of a midnight bloom in the quiet of the night and the solitude of a stroll in the moonlight. The classic running silhouette of the ASICS GEL-LYTE V is presented in the "MIDNIGHT BLOOM" in a mix of high-quality materials, consisting of premium nubuck leather and a high-quality nylon upper, which reflect the special light of the night in light and dark shades of color. The soft pink of the midsole and inner lining symbolizes newly emerging blossoms growing on flowering branches, reflected by brown nubuck panels. While the dark night sky is represented by nubuck inserts in very dark navy, the reflections of moonlight are mirrored in the slightly shiny nylon upper, while yellow accents on the tiger stripes and ASICS logo give the shoe an additional dose of energy and three laces in navy, beige and yellow expand the design scope.
