A visit to the foodt opening in Dortmund

On Saturday, like many of my (sneaker) friends and (blogger) colleagues, I made my way to Dortmund. The reason for the trip was the opening of Dortmund's first owner-managed sneaker store "foodt - delicious footwear" on Märkische Straße, not far from Dortmund's city center, and the curiosity about the store, the party and the accompanying opening was of course omnipresent in the run-up. Benny and Torben have been rooted in the (Dortmund) sneaker scene for years and the bar was set correspondingly high for the two of them. The typical Dortmund "schwatt jelbe" color scheme is more yellow than black, but it's just right for orientation ;-) In contrast to many other stores, foodt is quite a large sneaker store. The interior looks very classy, the design rather minimalist and cool - which I personally really like.the rear area of the store is painted completely black and houses a large counter including a checkout area. In addition to some exclusive vintage bots (for sale!), a hand-painted picture will also adorn the wall here in the future.the front area is the actual point of sale, as this is also where most of the current range is displayed. . Nike models will not be available for the time being, but are probably planned for the coming months...Personally, I had a lot of fun on Saturday. In addition to some new acquaintances, I met a lot of people I hadn't seen for a while or had never "experienced" in person before. Even the celebrities from Oberkleen had deigned to visit Dortmund, W H O W... ;-)The absolute highlight for me was the appearance of the foodt x PUMA "Currywurst-Truck" in the evening hours. That really made an impression and won't be forgotten in a hurry! To sum up, there's really only one thing to say: Dortmund is one attraction richer and we're all keeping our fingers crossed that the good work will be rewarded in the future.thanks for the invitation guys...
