Then came the Nike Air Max 1 OG as we still know it today. The invention of the Air Bubble was a revolution for the brand. However, Nike encountered problems with the large Air Bubble. Some tests showed the fragility of the "Big Bubble". This forced Nike to shrink the visible bubble enough to withstand the pressure of wearing it. Since then, the smaller Air Bubble System has been in mass production.

The release of the Air Max 1 OG Big Bubble was an absolutely historic highlight, at least for the older ones among us. Now other colorways are to follow, one of them the Light Armory Blue. The coloring looks the same as the Varsity Blue (2009) and the Anniversary Royal (2017).

Among other things, the Air Max 1 Big Bubble 1986 Light Armory Blue was distributed on March 26, 2023 (Air Max Day 2023) in Los Angeles at @blackmarketflea with @kidsofimmigrants and Nike. The sneaker is said to be limited to 1986 pairs. It is not yet clear whether all pairs have been distributed at the @blackmarketflea or whether the remaining 1986 pairs will be released.
