Respected New York brand Bode, known for its creative use of everyday materials such as family comforters and lace tablecloths, has teamed up with Nike for a collection that includes footwear and apparel. Together, Bode and Nike are bringing back the classic from the 70s, the Astro Grabber. This shoe has not yet been reissued. The collaboration combines Bode's unique style with the timeless charm of the Astro Grabber, which will be available in two different colorways. The collection is inspired by baseball and American football from the 70s.
Bode's version of the Astro Grabber comes in the color combination Black/Coconut Milk. The shoe has a black leather upper with Coconut Milk accents on the Swoosh logos, laces, tongue and inner lining. The Bode branding in retro lettering is prominently displayed on the tongue and is complemented by a bronze-colored lace tag. The design is rounded off with a solid black outsole.
