Originally designed as a basketball shoe, the Uptempo has undergone an impressive transformation and is now one of the absolute icons of streetwear. The Olympic White/Midnight Navy/Metallic Gold/University Red colorway is primarily associated with American basketball star Scottie Pippen, who wore the sneaker at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. As a tribute to the Chicago Bulls legend, his Team USA jersey number can be found on the heel of the shoe.

The Nike Air More Uptempo Olympic made its first comeback in 2010, albeit in very limited quantities at the time. Since 2012, the Uptempo has been released every four years to coincide with the Olympic Games. This year's release is already the fifth retro release of the sneaker. Despite these numerous new editions, Nike remains true to the OG version and has not changed the design - a true classic that has lost none of its original charm.

When can I buy the Nike sneaker?

The Nike Air More Uptempo Olympic will be available from August 11, 2024. As befits a Nike release, the sneaker will most likely drop at 9:00 am.
