In honor of Hangul Day on October 9th, Nike unveils its annual collection for the Korean holiday. Hangul Day marks the beginning of the Korean alphabet. This year, Korean culture will also be paid tribute with a special edition Nike Cortez. In addition to the Cortez, there is also an Air Force 1 Gore-Tex, a Dunk Low SE and an Air Max 1.
The Cortez has an upper made of dark brown suede, which is complemented by a clean Swoosh in Sail, a white tongue and lining and contrasting white stitching. The dark brown color extends to the tongue labels and a stripe across the midsole. To celebrate "Hangul Day" are special accents on the insoles, heel tab and a custom hangtag. The “EST. 72" is a nod to the year the shoe was founded and the long history of the shoe.
When does the Nike Cortez Hangul Day drop?
Unfortunately we don't have a release date for the Nike Cortez Hangul Day yet. But the Dunk and Air Max drop on October 6th at 9am. The Cortez will probably also drop on the same day.
