Presented as a mix of designs from both the Pegasus and Waffle lines, the sneaker marks a fresh start for heritage-inspired products. The nylon base is covered with suede panels that extend from the tip of the foot to the heel. Reflective stripes run throughout the upper, giving the Phoenix Waffle a combination of functionality and style. Underfoot, the design provides adequate cushioning in the midsole, although no specific technology is apparent. Finally, the Traction harkens back to Nike's early days with its waffle-patterned rubber sole.
