Officially launched with the help of Thundercat, the sneaker is inspired by nature, just like most of Bembury's collaborative footwear projects over the past two years. Misty Rose-dyed hairy suede and ultra-breathable mesh take over much of the pair's upper, with Purple Passion contrast in the form of leather accents at the toe and chenille profile N logos; Branding on the top of the tongue also revels in the rich purple tone. The sand dune-inspired color combination continues underfoot, with cushioning and traction solutions sporting dessert- and sunset-like hues.

After official pictures were already circulating on the internet, there is finally a release date for the NB 990v2. The sneaker is scheduled to go online on January 15, 2023.
