Puma has always been a rival brand to adidas. The sporting goods manufacturer was founded by Rudolf Dassler, who once founded adidas together with his brother Adolf. After a dispute, they went their separate ways and Rudolf devoted himself to his own brand, Puma. His curly hairstyle gave him the nickname that later became the name of his own company.

Puma's headquarters are still in Herzogenaurach today. In recent years, they signed pop star Rihanna, who gave the brand a huge boost in the women's sector with her signature sneaker "Fenty Creeper".

A$AP Rock and Skepta are also at the start at Puma. A$AP as Creative Director for the Puma Formula 1 division and Skepta is Global Ambassador for Puma.
