Shape
Have you always wanted to know what exactly shape means or what it actually is? No problem, in our exclusive sneaker lexicon we explain almost all the terms in the scene. And if you can't find a term, write us a message and we'll help you right away!
Shape is the silhouette of the sneaker. In the past, it was often the case that the classic sneakerhead wanted a particularly pointed toe box that was very similar to a wedge. In the meantime, "dad sneakers" have established themselves in the scene, which look particularly round and chunky. The shape of old sneakers is often discussed. For example, the sneaker community sees that the Air Max 1 and 90 models no longer have the same shape as they used to. There are discussions in forums about how to get this shape back and some sneakerheads are ironing their shoes so that the toebox looks like it did on the first Air Max models.
