THE ADIDAS ADIMATIC IS BACK AFTER 27 YEARS

adidas Skateboarding has been super active again lately. More recently, the brand has innovated for skaters like Tyshawn Jones and Lucas Puig. But the highlight, as always, is an archive shoe: the Adimatic. The adidas Adimatic first hit the shelves in 1986 and wowed some skaters in the 2000s. Thanks to the adidas designers, the silhouette has not been forgotten. Or maybe because of the Japanese street culture, which celebrated the silhouette fiercely.

Anyway, this year the Adimatic Silhouette has filled the (virtual) shelves again. But not for too long, because the colourways are almost always sold out immediately. Technically, the Adimatic doesn't offer revolutionary cushioning or traction, but it does feature a partially recycled construction in the upper. 25 percent of the components used consist of at least 50 percent recycled material. The sole is made of the standard EVA foam. In 1996 and today, the suede upper ensures a robust construction that can withstand even the wildest tricks. The midsole, in combination with the semi-transparent rubber sole, ensures reliable grip.

The adidas Adimatic scores with an upper made of two-tone suede and fat laces. A chunky midsole and a classic outsole made of natural rubber complete the design. The new colourway comes in the colors Wonder Silver and Off White and is therefore super easy to combine. @christopher wears a very relaxed outfit from Zara this time: black sweat shorts and a white oversized t-shirt.
